Flemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Review

It was around this time yesterday I was making my way back home from dinner. I had decided to celebrate on this chilly January evening. After making my reservation for 8:45pm, I promptly arrived fifteen minutes early to use the bathroom. I was greeted and seated in the first booth, overseeing the entire restaurant. The hostess asked if I was celebrating anything to which I responded yes. A short time after, she handed me a card inscribed with the words "Congratulations" along with signatures of the staff. I have never received such a warm welcome from a dining establishment.

My drink for the night was The Italian Flightplan, a light cocktail with hints of strawberry preserve, which was accompanied by the Barbecue Scottish Salmon Fillet and Chipotle Cheddar Mac & Cheese. I have to say, the salmon was ideally cooked. It, as well as the mac and cheese arrived to my table piping hot. Atop the fish sat a scorched bed of seasonings, which was just enough to season the entire fillet. The macaroni sported cavatappi pasta with a seemingly basic cheese sauce; until you took a bite. The smoked cheddar took center stage without overpowering the entire side dish. The cheese clung to every turn, down every spiral of pasta. My only complaint would be that the mushrooms were a bit chilly, although they were thoroughly cooked through and not too soft. I decided to indulge in a dessert, settling on the Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. The waitress recommended this option, needless to say, she was right in her advice. At almost equal parts icing to cake, this slice of heaven descended into my mouth ready to melt away. The perfect balanced taste of milk chocolate displayed in cake form, not to mention the caramel drizzle and honeycomb crumbles to finish it off. Everything that graced my mouth was worth the five minute wait (did I mention the short wait time?).
