366 Days

It is the very last day of 2020 and, a couple of days ago, the anniversary of this experimental blog. I’m not even sure where to start as I imagine what I remember doing this year. I can say that it has been a monumental year for transformation within myself. I have had many epiphanies regarding the way in which I operate.

Last year, I ended 2019 & started 2020 with three lessons in mind: discipline, expression, and living in the now (letting go). I can say I’ve made strides within each of these categories. Yet, I have learned so much more than I could have ever imagined from the challenges of this year. I learned how to use the difficulties of dealing with human beings as a teacher instead of a hindrance. Deep mindfulness has led me to a more regulated breathing pattern and an extreme decrease in anxiety. These aren’t easy tasks for me but practice has become my savior. I am in the process of rewiring my brain to ease my mind thereby creating a space to let go & truly be in the moment.

My expression has taken on a new life this year with the release of my collection titled: “THREE mind body soul”. I explored the connections between the mind, body, and soul as they relate to each other as well as how they relate to the world we see around us. With the help of books (reading for fun is a hobby I picked up this year) I have gained a broader understanding of the oneness of the universe. Along with my art collection, I have also started creating designs for clothing- mainly hoodies and crewnecks. My designs are a piece of my heart that I get to share with the world for people to adorn their bodies with. I’m elated thinking about the possibilities of my brand. I would like to shoutout the peeps who support me, I am eternally grateful to you all.

The cherry on top of my blessed year comes from a full time offer to work in a laboratory at an esteemed university. This 25th year is something to look forward to and I fully welcome all of the light that is in my life and the love that is to come. See you next year!
